London Marathon day-before pep talk
So about this marathon business tomorrow... By all accounts (and photographic evidence above), I bloody loved it last year. Pretty much 4hrs (and 9mins) of running 100% happy. The most thrilling most inspiring most brilliant most challenging most intense most wonderful day - I am so so excited for all you runners tomorrow, and wish I was doing it again. Just remember this - it is YOUR race. No one else's. Speed doesn't matter. Look around, don't just watch the pavement pass. See the faces of the incredible crowd. See the sights of this beautiful city. Just go. See what those legs and arms and that determined mind of yours can do. Believe in yourself. That's the first step. Force yourself to smile when it hurts. Embrace your fellow runners and cheer them on too. Love it when you can. Don't berate yourself if you don't. Just run. Enjoy running one of the most special races in the world. And remember, you got this. You have absolutely got this. And it's going to be spectacular. Good luck to you all!
